Leon Edwards - Although I don’t agree with the decision, Dana White all but confirmed at the post-fight press conference that Colby Covington would be next in line for a title shot.
Kamaru Usman - I thought he’d retire win or lose this weekend, but he proved us wrong. With Dana making Edwards vs Covington, Belal vs Rakhmonov and Chimaev moving to middleweight. I could genuinely see Usman vs Stephen Wonderboy Thompson as a potential matchup… But I’m not thrilled with it.
Justin Gaethje - Most of the guys are matched up or recently matched with Justin, I want to see a Dustin Poirier rematch as a fight to determine who’s next for a title shot after Islam Makhachev vs the winner of Oliveira/Daruish. If Poirier doesn’t accept, take his ranking number off him.
Rafael Fiziev - A razor-thin fight where neither guy loses stock, Fiziev should fight Mateusz Gamrot who’s coming off a win over Jalin Turner himself.
Gunnar Nelson - Rebook the original Daniel Rodriguez fight which was supposed to be on this card.
Bryan Barberena - Give him Ian Garry on a PPV prelim in the US which would be a step up for Garry and a big name for Barberena to jump back onto.
Marvin Vettori - A tough one for Vettori who’s fought most of the top 5. But I’d put him in there with Jared Cannonier as a potential fight night main event.
Roman Dolidze - He loses no stock from the decision as many thought he should’ve had his hand raised. Brendan Allen is coming off of an impressive win over Andre Muniz and I think it’s a logical next step for both guys.
