Post UFC Fight Night: Song vs Simon Matchmaking

Song Yadong UFC

Song Yadong - Bantamweight is a tough one to predict right now, stick with me. Sterling vs Cejudo is next week, I’d do Merab vs Sandhagen, O’Malley for next title shot, Yan vs Font and then… Marlon Vera vs Song Yadong. Book it Dana!

Ricky Simón - Jonathan Martinez is coming off a win and is ranked 13th, Ricky is fighting down next and that matchup makes the most sense for a PPV main card.

Caio Borralho UFC

Caio Borralho - André Muniz is the first-ranked opponent that makes sense for Borralho, Muniz is coming off a loss to Brendan Allen.

Michał Oleksiejczuk - He had a cancelled bout with Albert Duraev in the past, it makes sense to put them back in together after his loss to Borralho.

Rodolfo Vieira - Vieira deserves a big fight next, I can see the UFC putting him against Ikram Aliskerov/Phil Hawes.

Cody Brundage - Give him the loser of Joseph Holmes/Claudio Ribeiro that takes place next week.

Fernando Padilla - I’d give him the loser of next week’s fight between Kron Gracie/Charles Jourdain.

Julian Erosa - William Gomis of France won last week, I can see the UFC putting him in there with Erosa to give him the push. Potentially at UFC Paris in September.

Marcos Rogério de Lima - Then on the other side of it, I’d give de Lima the winner of the matchup in Martin Buday.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta - The easiest matchup the UFC can make would be putting him against the loser of the other heavyweight bout on the card in Jake Collier.

Trey Waters - The massive welterweight should get fast-tracked up the division after his impressive victory last night. I’d give him the winner of next week’s Khaos Williams/Rolando Bedoya bout.

Josh Quinlan - He was originally going to face Ange Loosa last night, however, Loosa pulled out last minute. Rebook the fight.
