Preview: UFC Fight Night: Yan vs. Dvalishvili

Get ready for an exciting night of mixed martial arts action, as the UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Dvalishvili takes place on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The event will take place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will feature 13 MMA bouts inside the Octagon.


The main event of the night will see two of the top-ranked bantamweights in the world, Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili, facing off in a five-round fight. Yan, who holds a record of 16-4-0, is currently ranked as the #2 bantamweight worldwide, while Dvalishvili, with a record of 15-4-0, holds the #3 spot. Both fighters are known for their impressive grappling skills, so fans can expect a technical 5 round battle.


In the co-main event, two heavyweight fighters will clash, as Alexander Volkov takes on Alexandr Romanov. Volkov, with a record of 35-10-0, is currently ranked as the #8 heavyweight worldwide, while Romanov, with a record of 16-1-0, holds the #14 spot.


Other notable fights on the main card include Nikita Krylov vs Ryan Spann in the light heavyweight division and Said Nurmagomedov vs Jonathan Martinez in the bantamweight division.


The main card opens with Vitor Petrino vs “The Pleasure Man” Anton Turkalj in the light-heavyweight division. Turkalj has a record of 8-1-0 as Petrino holds a perfect record of 7-0-0. Turkalj will aim to take that 0 away from the Brazilian. Members of the discord will know my love for Turkalj and this bout has the potential to be fight of the night.
